Nothing less than 3 podiums and a new racing track record!
The last two races of the 2017 season was a real success for the Blysk Racing Team as I was on the podium for the first time in my professional racing career. But not only I was on the podium for the first time, I was on it for every three occasions of the weekend: Qualifying, Race 1 and Race 2!
As much as the rounds 4 and 5 in Nova Scotia went very well (watch the video here), the round 6 and 7 of the Mopar Canadian Superbike Championship was the apogee of my racing career so far. On top of the extreme performances I delivered all weekend long, I established a new racing track record among all the top international riders that have been racing there until now. It’s the first time in the history of motorcycle road racing that a racer goes in the 1:20 seconds range at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park track and I’m definitely super proud of that!
The weekend was not perfect though as I did an important mistake in Saturday’s race that cost me the victory, but still, I’ve finished in 2nd place 0.2 seconds behind the twelve times Candian Champion Jordan Szoke and over 5 seconds in front of the 3rd place finisher. Believe me, I’ve learned out of my mistake and will never do that again.
